Donation & Refund Policy

Thank you for supporting Heaven Foundation - Fondation CIEL. This Donation & Refund Policy explains how donations are processed, how funds are used, how receipts are handled, and how refund requests are reviewed. The Foundation operates through registered charitable contribution channels in both the United States and Canada. Donors should select the contribution channel that corresponds to the country for which they need a donation receipt or tax acknowledgment.
Registered Charitable Status and Contribution Channels
United States Contribution Channel. Donations made through the United States contribution channel are received by Heaven Foundation - Fondation CIEL Inc., a United States nonprofit organization recognized by the IRS as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) (EIN: 99-1424882). Contributions made through this channel are tax-deductible in the United States to the extent allowed by law. Donors will receive a receipt or written acknowledgment and should consult their own tax advisor regarding deductibility. Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, no goods or services are provided in exchange for donations.
Canada Contribution Channel. Donations made through the Canada contribution channel are received by Heaven Foundation CIEL, a registered charity in Canada under the Income Tax Act (registration / business number 790827620 RR0001). The Canada Revenue Agency registration identifies Heaven Foundation CIEL as a registered charity with an effective registration date of June 17, 2025 and designation as a Private Foundation. Eligible gifts made through this channel may be receipted with an official Canadian donation receipt in accordance with Canada Revenue Agency requirements.
Choosing the Correct Contribution Channel
Donors are responsible for selecting the appropriate contribution channel. United States donors seeking a U.S. charitable contribution receipt should use the United States contribution channel. Canadian donors seeking an official Canadian donation receipt should use the Canada contribution channel. Donors outside the United States and Canada should consult their own tax advisor. Receipts are issued by the entity or contribution channel that receives the donation. A donation made through one country’s contribution channel may not be eligible for a tax receipt in the other country. How Donations Are Used
Donations support the charitable, educational, spiritual health, community, outreach, and research-related work of Heaven Foundation - Fondation CIEL. This may include spiritual health education and reflection resources; community outreach and support initiatives; health and educational programs; research, writing, and educational work related to spirituality, well-being, and whole-person care; support for vulnerable communities; livelihood, dignity, and self-reliance initiatives; development of spiritual health tools, including CAMERS and the Spirit Index; and administrative and operational costs necessary to carry out the Foundation’s mission. Unless a donation is designated for a specific approved purpose, donations are used where the Foundation determines the need is greatest.
Designated Donations
From time to time, donors may choose to give toward a specific campaign, program, project, country, or initiative. We make reasonable efforts to honor donor designations when they align with the Foundation’s approved charitable purposes and applicable legal requirements. If a designated purpose becomes impractical, unavailable, fully funded, discontinued, or no longer consistent with the Foundation’s mission or legal obligations, the Foundation may redirect the donation to a similar charitable purpose or to the area of greatest need.
Payment Processing and Security
Online donations may be processed securely by Stripe or another approved third-party payment processor over an encrypted connection. Heaven Foundation - Fondation CIEL does not store full payment card numbers on its own systems. Depending on the contribution channel selected, donations may be processed in U.S. dollars, Canadian dollars, or another available currency. Any currency conversion or fee is determined by the donor’s financial institution, card issuer, or payment processor. One-Time and Recurring Donations
A one-time donation is charged once in the amount selected by the donor. After the transaction is completed, a confirmation, receipt, or acknowledgment may be sent to the email address provided. If you choose to make a recurring donation, your selected payment method will be charged automatically according to the schedule you choose. You may cancel a recurring donation at any time by contacting us at connect@heavenfoundationciel.com. Cancellation will stop future charges. Donations already processed before cancellation are generally non-refundable, except as described below.
Refund Policy
Donations are voluntary charitable gifts and are generally non-refundable. However, we understand that mistakes can happen. You may request a refund if a donation was made in error, the wrong amount was entered, the donation was duplicated, the donation was unauthorized, there was a technical or payment-processing error, or a donation was made through the wrong contribution channel and correction is legally and administratively possible.
To request a refund, please contact us within 15 days of the transaction at connect@heavenfoundationciel.com. Please include your name, email address, donation date, donation amount, contribution channel used, transaction details if available, and a brief description of the issue. We review refund requests in good faith. If a refund is approved, it will generally be issued to the original payment method. Processing times may vary depending on the payment processor or financial institution.
Receipts and Refunds
If a receipt or written acknowledgment has already been issued for a donation that is later refunded, the original receipt or acknowledgment may need to be corrected, cancelled, or replaced. If a U.S. charitable contribution acknowledgment was issued for a refunded donation, the donor may no longer be able to claim that refunded amount as a charitable contribution. If a Canadian official donation receipt was issued for a refunded donation, the receipt may need to be cancelled or corrected in accordance with Canada Revenue Agency requirements. Donors should consult their own tax advisor.
Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you believe a donation was unauthorized or processed incorrectly, please contact us first so we can review the matter promptly. If a chargeback or payment dispute is filed through a bank, card issuer, or payment provider, we may provide transaction records, donation details, receipt information, and communication history to assist in the review.
No Goods or Services
Unless specifically stated otherwise in connection with a particular campaign, event, or program, donations are charitable gifts and are not payments for goods, services, medical care, counseling, therapy, spiritual direction, professional advice, or access to a specific benefit. If goods or services are provided in connection with a donation, we will make reasonable efforts to disclose the value of those goods or services where required by law.
No Tax Shelter or Improper Benefit Arrangements
Heaven Foundation - Fondation CIEL does not promote or participate in donation arrangements intended to create improper tax benefits, artificial donation values, private benefit, or tax shelter gifting arrangements. Donations must be voluntary charitable gifts made to support the Foundation’s approved charitable mission.
Medical and Spiritual Support Disclaimer
Donations support the mission and programs of Heaven Foundation - Fondation CIEL. Our spiritual health education, reflection tools, CAMERS, the Spirit Index, community-support work, and related resources are offered for spiritual, educational, reflective, research, and community-support purposes. They are not a substitute for professional medical care, mental health care, diagnosis, treatment, medication, therapy, counseling, emergency services, or advice from qualified healthcare professionals. Anyone with medical or mental health concerns should consult a qualified healthcare provider. In urgent or emergency situations, contact local emergency services immediately.
Donor Privacy
We respect donor privacy. Donor information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell donor personal information. Donor names or donation amounts will not be publicly recognized unless the donor has given permission or clearly agreed to public acknowledgment.
Changes to This Policy
Heaven Foundation - Fondation CIEL may update this Donation & Refund Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the website or donation services after changes are posted means you accept the revised policy.
